Alright, ready for our walk ... I'm so glad you decided to join me. :) On the west side of th house there is a little butterfly bush, a gift from a very special friend ... I've been nurturing it this year and in turn it has provided a little something pretty for me to look at. 

Jim is a fan of power poles and large pieces of wood. This one is intended to be a bench ... someday ...

And then there's the power pole. We run to it, walk to it, see it out the front window. It's one of those special points on the property that the grandkids always hear me mention ... 'Who wants to walk to the power pole?'  ... it's become a tradition. ;)

Every home has a little graveyard, right? We seem to have ... this is where Blackie is buried, and next to him is Cody and Reggie ... Jim's beloved and faithful canine friends. The bench hasn't been here too long. It's a place to sit. To think. To talk to God. To feel the breeze on your skin. To enjoy the sun as it sets off in the distance. And here we are on the other side of the house. Growing things is difficult out here. The ground is hard and dry. Our pine trees are struggling to survive ... but, they do continue to grow. I had an amazing lavendar bush in my backyard. It was two plants combined and seemed as though it was going to take over my backyard. I finally cut it back this year ... way back! And planted another out by the well ... another one of those special destination points for the many walks I have the pleasure of taking with my seven ... grandchildren that is! :)
